Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting.....(or drinking with your friends)

Happy Weekend! It's saturday night, and 2 of my friends are meeting me here at my place, and we're gonna head out drinking! Thankfully, they're meeting me early, so we can go out, have drinks, and then my drunken ass can stumble home and be in bed at a reasonable hour! This was an interesting week - I was in Las Vegas to help open a new store for PANDORA. It was in the international terminal - and let me tell you, Terminal D is AMAZING! (and I do NOT mean because of the continuous string of HOT HOT HOT men who walked by) I usually fly into Terminal C, which is Southwest Airline's terminal - and after seeing Terminal D, I can safely say that Terminal C is a HUGE piece of shit! It was such a letdown. The only saving grace of this trip is that the hotel I stayed in - Planet Hollywood Towers - was gorgeous! I was on the 19th floor, in a huge room that faced the strip. Just amazing. I cannot stress how great this hotel was.

Today I went to the Mt Vernon Book Fair - an annual event. It was very nice - although hotter than I would have preferred it to be. I didn't buy anything, nor did I want to meet any of the authors. (unlike last year, Maureen McCormick was there, but I was out of town on work! Marsha Marsha Marsha!) I saw quite a few friends and aquaintances - so that was nice. Afterwards, I had brunch at City Cafe with Adam (a new friend who moved here from California). Tomorrow? Not sure yet - but I do want to get a membership to BJ's wholesale club, and I want to head to Lenscrafters or something like that and see if I can find the brown eyeglasses I want. It'll be a low-key day for sure. No travels this week - and that makes me happy.

Happy Labor Day, Everyone!

I'm off to spend some quality time with my family this weekend, and picking up my sister at Dulles airport outside of DC. It should be a great time, and with Mom getting out of the hospital, it will be a celebration of life. Hers, mine, everyone's!
