Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot?

Well, here it is - the 29th of December!! It's almost 2011. I can't fucking believe it! It seems like this past year has flown by. I know I say all the time that the years keep moving faster and faster, but they do! It seems like a month ago that I started my new job - and it's already been 9 months!! (almost 10 months, actually!!) Where does the time go?? All I know is that I started one of my resolutions early - I've started at the gym, and I intend to keep going - despite the aches and sore muscles I'm feeling! Also, this is the year I intend to take a vacation to Europe. (I'd like to visit Spain and Italy - but I'll also have to swing by France and see my relatives, and England to see Kim. Wonder if I can take a month off? LOL) And finally, I'd like this year to be THE year that I settle down and find myself a proper husband. It's time.

Happy New Years, Everyone!! I wish you love, happiness, and peace. XOXO

I heading to the gym tonight! (and I hope he's there!)

I need a nice, relaxing vacation like this....

Now this is EXACTLY what I need right now.....

FUCK YOU, BALTIMORE!

Ok, so I'm pretty pissed! I just went to my car to head to work, and my driver's side window was smashed in. UGH! This is the 2nd smashed window for this car - last time it was the passenger side. I am so freaking over this city, I want to puke! And all I could think was "too bad my car couldn't explode when the fucker smashed the window in!"

Confessions of a MAC addict....

Yeah, that's right - I'm addicted to all things Apple and MAC. My addiction started innocently enough with my iPod, and then grew to include a MacBook. I've had my MacBook for 4 years now, and in February I got my iPhone 3GS. Recently we got a HUGE bonus at work - worth about 2 months' salary - and I decided to take my addiction to a new level - but getting both an iPad (for work documents, and to read iBooks on airplanes.) 2 days after getting my iPad, I bit the bullet and bought an iMac! I love my MacBook so much, but I guess I haven't been updating it as often as I should - so when I tried to sync my iPad, it told me I didn't have the proper software. I took it as a sign to just go to the Apple store and buy myself an iMac. It is unbelievably gorgeous - the colors, the clarity, the HUGE screen. I'm in love. Now if only Verizon would carry the iPhone, my world would be complete. (AT&T sucks!!)

This weekend was amazing - our work Xmas party, which was 80's themed! Yikes. Our department won Best Overall costumes - because we're the creative bunch! It was a great time - even though I felt like an idiot for wearing such short shorts! lol. My mullet wig had me looking EXACTLY like my brother Brad. (too funny) Then today, I went to Caren's house for a "cookie party". Basically, Caren has never baked - ever! - and Shannon and Jamie decided to show her how to bake Christmas cookies - which was apparently every single type of cookie known to man! I was there for 3 hours and they stayed another 3 hours after that! Craziness!

I have to decorate my Xmas tree tomorrow night - as tuesday night is a party at Dominic's house! (the night before I head to Costa Rica with Nick to open a new store there. it still blows me away that I get to travel internationally!!)

Quote of the Day:

“By attacking the democratically elected President of the United States of America at a sensitive time in her country’s history, she shows the tact of a boorish drunkard bawling obscenities at a funeral….

And now she turns not only against the fibre and backbone of her country, but against its democratically elected President, accusing him of being incompetent for not stopping Wikileaks. Where was she and where was her GOP before and during the 9/11 attacks? She accuses President Obama of not taking “steps” to assure the leaks were not published. What “steps”?

If anything is a threat to the national security of the United States of America, it is this screaming, unrefined oaf with as much class as a searing release of flatulence followed by hysterical giggling at a state banquet. Is this what the people of the USA deserve?”

An op/ed piece in Russia’s Pravda this week that essentially calls Sarah Palin a traitor for her recent remarks about President Obama.

I guess some people in the press aren’t terrified of calling bullshit on these fucking clowns.

It’s just too bad that it’s the Russian press with the balls to do so and not the American press.
