I'm finally back from my very LONG week in Vegas. As beautiful as it can be, and as amazing as the weather is, it is extremely difficult to be there. Don't get me wrong, it's fun. But sometimes you need more than bars, and lights, and noise, and intoxicated people bumping into you to have fun. The good thing is that my co-workers and I were able to balance work, pool, and fun into this trip. I got some color on my pasty skin, I shopped until I dropped, and I had some amazing meals. And where else but Vegas can you meet people from all over the world? The next time I head to Vegas, hopefully I'll have even more fun. I've always hated Las Vegas, but after this trip, I'm willing to give it another shot.

Tomorrow I head to Las Vegas for work for the week. I have to be honest, I can't stand Vegas. What I am looking forward to is the amazing weather (high 80's/90's), and the 3 people I'll be working with - Nichole, Shawna and Lindsay. They're amazing at what they do, and they make me proud as their boss. But, they're also hysterical, so they might redeem the city for me! Sin City, here I come!

Congratulations! Once again, the Christian, Right-wing CRAZIES who predicted that today was the "end of the world" were (thankfully) proved wrong! I must admit, that even though I knew it was a bunch of lies, I still felt the need to call my Mom, and then be outside to enjoy this AMAZING weather we're having today. Unfortunately, tomorrow the weather turns back to crap, and the rain rain rain comes down down down. (note the subtle "Winnie the Pooh" reference there) So again, Congrats! In the immortal words of the poet Beyonce, We're all Survivors!

Hey guys and gals! I hope everyone had an amazing week! Mine was somewhat stress-involved, but it all turned out in the end! Had a great and productive day, did some shopping at the GAP (since I need new clothes with the weight loss and muscle gain!!), and went to Trader Joe's for some food items. (Hummus! Mmmmm!) I will hopefully have a nice, relaxing weekend before my work week in Vegas (Monday to Friday). This is a busy time for anyone involved in the jewelry industry (as I am). The first week of June is JCK - a HUGE jewelry convention, held this year at Mandalay Bay. We (and by we, I mean my employer PANDORA) now have 5 stores in Las Vegas - so this coming week I am heading there with 3 of my most talented merchandisers to make sure the stores look amazing for the following week. The stores in Vegas do a ridiculous amount of business! It's just freaking unreal. So, they're not always the prettiest - but we'll change that for them. I can't complain. The weather is supposed to be nice, we're staying in a great hotel (PH Towers), my co-workers are talented as hell AND fun, and we "might" even sneak in some POOL TIME!! (cross your fingers! I need a tan.)

Hey Everyone! It's Monday! Oh, Monday - my arch nemesis - how I despise thee! I had an AMAZING weekend!! It was jam-packed with activities. Firstlly, I had to pick my sister up at the airport (flying in from Houston) - as we were driving to PA for my older brother's wedding. Brad and Amy were getting married at 5 pm. Thankfully my sister's flight landed at 12:30. We visited with Mom for a bit, and then drove up to his house. They got married in a gazebo on their property. He drove up on a Harley, as did the best man. She was escorted down the aisle by her son (he's 14) and her 16 year old daughter was Maid of Honor. It truly was sweet. I got some amazing photos. It was an overcast day, and got somewhat cold because of the clouds and the mist. So, around 8:30 I had to leave, as I had to head back home to Baltimore for a surprise birthday party for my friend Suzanne. (her 50th! It was a costume party, but I didn't have enough time to change from the wedding!) I was there until 1:30am, and got to bed at 4:30am! Woke up at 10, got showered and drove back to PA for my sister Ellen's surprise 50th birthday party!! (Needless to say, I was a tired pup!) I stayed in PA all day, and even spent the night as I had to drive my sister back tot he airport for her flight to Houston. Worked from 11 to 6. I'm pretty tired today even. I kind of like my weekends to be rather low-key. But every once in awhile, a great weekend happens. Despite the tiredness, I enjoyed every minute of it!

Just One of Those Days...

Just one of those days?? Try one of those WEEKS!! I was in THE grumpiest mood today, and the mood got increasingly worse as the day went on. The good part of today was when people I actually like stopped by my desk to ask me a question, or to generally just say hello. They were definitely mood elevators! And I got some hysterical texts from friends - so the day wasn't a total wash. I left a little earlier than normal - mostly because my head felt like it was gonna explode if i stayed. I'm home now. Have the windows open. The breeze is blowing in, and every now and then I hear a car horn blasting. But I like that. Living in the city for as long as I have, it's more relaxing to have street noise than it is to have total peace and quiet. Sometimes, when it's too quiet, I get a little spooked. LOL. Happy Hump Day, Everyone!!

It's been one of those weeks....

Ever have "one of those weeks"? It was a brutal week at work, and the weather sucked. Thankfully, the weather was beautiful today, and I slept in VERY late. Got some things done around the house today, and watched really bad movies all afternoon, while an amazing breeze blew in through the open windows. Life is good...
