I Survived Hurricane Irene! Now where's my T-shirt??

It was a bit scary, and I had to stay inside all day yesterday, as Irene pummeled the area with heavy rains and strong winds! I was up until about midnight, watching movies, and REALLY bad television shows - and my rattling windows were pretty unnerving. In fact, the howling winds and rattling windows woke me up a few times during the night. The rains have finally left, but the winds are still going strong!! It's pretty insane. So where's my T-shirt??

Lazy, Hurricane-filled weekend...

It's really unfortunate that on my weekend (and everyone else's affected by this crap!) that I'll be inside, waiting on this hurricane to just run it's course. It's raining now, but the actual hurricane force winds won't hit until around 8pm. So, Pray for me - that the power stays on, and that no one gets hurt. I'm going to walk to the little market that's close by, see if they have milk and eggs, cook breakfast, and watch some movies - and probably take MANY naps. Be safe Everyone!!

Irene, Why You Doing me Wrong??

Well, I am FINALLY back from Florida - and that damned Irene (Hurricane Irene) caused the weather to be awful! It rained everyday, and they weren't normal rain storms, they were BAD thunderstorms! Also, my flight home was pretty awful - bad take-off, and a REALLY bumpy flight. I was pretty surprised by the landing in Baltimore, as it was very smooth. Now I'm just excited to sleep in my own bed tonight! Sweet dreams, everyone!

On my way to Florida...

I am leaving in about 3 hours for a work trip in Florida. I'll fly into Ft. Lauderdale tonight, work there for 2 days, and then drive to Tampa, and work there and Orlando - flying home thursday night from Orlando. I was VERY excited at first to get away from the horrible weather we've been having here in Baltimore (HOT, and non-stop Thunderstorms for days now!) - but I just checked weather.com, and it says that it will be raining every day while I'm in Florida!! All I wanted was some nice weather!

When is it time to move on?

Tonight I found out that 2 of my friends were offered jobs in other cities: G was offered a job in Houston, TX for a LOT more money, and C was offered a job in Paris!! (WTF?!) Of the 2 opportunities, I think that C has the MUCH better offer! Would I take a job in Europe? Hell FUCKING yeah! I am an American tried and true, but if the opportunity arose to do a job in Europe, there is NO WAY IN HELL that I would say no. It was tonight - after these 2 conversations - that I asked myself "Is it time to move on?" When do you know it's time to go? Should the status quo be enough, or is it smart to take an amazing opportunity somewhere else? This is something I definitely have to mull over. I have 2 best friends who moved to the English countryside and Switzerland respectively, and they both LOVE it there. Is this what I've been missing? Lately I've been thinking about moving to Los Angeles - but the allure of Europe is ALWAYS there. Always.

I'm Back from my work trip....

...and it was a LOOOOOONNNGGGG week! But I got a lot accomplished, and trained a new employee. Last night, in my 3rd hotel of the trip, I had just gotten into my room when the guest in the room below me decided to have a dance party in his room. WTF?? So, after about 3 complaints, they FINALLY moved me into a new room on the 11th floor. Aaaaahhhh! Peace and quiet, and Matt was able to sleep! I am gonna post some sexy pics, and then I'm taking a nap! Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

On The Road Again...

I leave tomorrow morning, on AMTRAK. I'm heading to New Jersey for work - I'll be heading to Paramus, Atlantic City, and Cherry Hill to train one of my newest Trainers. We'll also be visiting our store at the King of Prussia Mall in PA. Hopefully it won't be too tiring of a trip. I'll be back Friday night - so not 100% sure I'll be posting while gone.
