Thank God It's Thursday??

Hey Everyone! Guess who the sleepiest man on Earth is right now? Well, if you guessed me, you're right! lol. Yesterday I flew home from Albany, NY - with a layover in Detroit. Detroit?? WTF? Yeah, that was some seriously jacked-up flight plan! I had some credits I had to use, so our travel agent booked me on the scenic route home. lol. The flight from Albany to Detroit was CRAZY! I had to change flights to an earlier one, because my original flight was delayed, and i would have missed my flight from Detroit to Baltimore. So, I get on the plane (a small regional jet), and I'm in the last row (where you can't even recline your seat!), right in front of the bathroom. Great! And then here comes the person seated next to me: he had to weigh close to 300 lbs. I am seriously not the biggest asshole on the face of the earth, but in a small plane, the last place i want to sit is next to a big guy. He had me up against the window!! AND while he did manage to squeeze in between the arm rests, some of him was on my side of the arm rest. By the time we got to Detroit - after a VERY shaky, bumpy flight - I was sweating from the heat he was putting off. The bad part of me arriving on a earlier fight? I had to wait an extra hour in Detroit. Ugh. They boarded us at 9:30pm, and then told us because of a bad storm in Baltimore that we didn't have clearance to take off, so we had to wait. On the plane. Without A/C. Finally at 10:30 we took off, and even though they turned on the A/C at that point, the plane never cooled down. So we were all sweating the entire way back to Baltimore. Not fun. We landed at 11:45, and by the time I got to my car, and got home it was almost 1 am!! So, my ass is dragging. And Sunday night, I have to do it all over again, and fly to Quebec City, QC. (But I'm actually looking forward to that.) Also, I'll be in Montreal for 3 nights, and I have friends there, so it should be a good time as well. I think I am ready for another vacation!!
I just have to remember that tomorrow is friday!!

So Sleepy!!
I had all of 3 hours of sleep last night - no freaking idea why! - so I've been going nonstop since 5am this morning!! I am exhausted. Just wanted to say hello and let you all know I'm alive, well, and in Rochester for the night. Pray for me. Lol

So Long, Str8 Jock Talking 2!
It's official everyone! Scott has closed down his blog for good. I certainly will miss him - his blog never failed to make me laugh, and he had a great eye for sexy photos! I was fortunate enough to exchange a few emails with him when his blog was taken down in February, and even more fortunate that he added a link to my blog onto his page. He is a great guy - and I wish I could say we were closer friends than we are. But I'll miss you Scott! Keep in touch!
Shuffling off to Buffalo...

Tomorrow morning, I'm on a 7:30am flight to Buffalo to meet up with one of my employees. Anyone who knows me knows that i fucking HATE mornings - especially early mornings! So, I'm about to head to bed now, and hopefully the flight won't be a roller coaster - like last friday's flight was. I don't understand people who work while they're on planes - I sleep! It's total uninterrupted time - it's golden, baby! I'm taking my iPad with me on this trip, so I'll try to be better about postings! My schedule will be Buffalo on monday, Rochester on tuesday, and both Syracuse and Albany on wednesday - flying home wednesday night. So long weekend! I'll miss you!

The Trip From HELL!!

Yep, it's official - this week has been THE work trip from HELL! I had a great beginning to the week - working in my office, interviewing for a higher position (cross your fingers for me!), and then tuesday night, I headed to the airport for 2 short flights to get me to Ottawa. NOT SO FAST! The first flight went without a hitch. It was a short flight from Bmore to Philly. No big deal. Then the delays started for my 2nd flight. First it was an hour, then 2. I didn't make it to Ottawa until 11:45 at night. So I have my new passport in hand, and I head to Customs. Again - shouldn't be a big deal right? WRONG! Customs flagged me and sent me to Immigration. WTF? I am pretty sure I look harmless. The Assholes, errrr, I mean NICE gentlemen in Customs started right in on me - "why are you here? who do you work for? who are you working with? how did you contact your coworker? (nifty new device called the telephone - you should try one out!), how long will you be here? who is this "pandora" company?" and on and on and on and on! It was so fucking surreal. I actually laughed when he asked how I contacted my co-worker - which didn't help my case at all. He said I need a "Letter of Introduction" to work in Canada. I have never heard that before. Perhaps they were confused. While I will be working while in Canada, I am not being "EMPLOYED" by Canada. He also said (in a nasty little tone as well) that "You can probably get away with this is larger cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, but Ottawa doesn't tolerate things like this. I can have you barred from entering Canada." It was such a power trip for him. Once I finally got out of there, I was steaming mad. A friend made me laugh by saying "It's Canada. Shouldn't they be happy someone wants to visit there?" LOL. I've decided that from now on, when they ask "Are you here for business or pleasure", I'll just say I'm there for pleasure. A short vacation. I'll be a bold-faced liar, but at least I won't get interrogated. I was totally expecting him to take me in a back room and pull out the rubber gloves. (But then again, I'd probably have liked that. He was very handsome. lmao)
Today, I flew home, and my first flight was delayed for 90 minutes - and it was the roller coaster from HELL! I couldn't believe how bumpy it was - it was VERY VERY scary!! Normally when there is turbulence, I don't get nauseous, but I do get anxious and that scared feeling in your belly. Today, I was genuinely sick. When the plane landed, my legs were shaky when i was walking up the jet bridge! And then I got a phone call that my connecting flight home to Baltimore was cancelled. So, instead of rebooking to a much later flight, I rented a car, and drove home in pouring rain. Because I was just over the whole thing. Stick a fork in me, because I am DONE!
So, Ottawa - you can suck it! I am no longer a fan. And, if I can help it, I will never go back!

Who says Smoking can't look sexy?
Kill Bill
Get Nervous!!

Tomorrow afternoon, at 1:15pm, I have an interview for a Regional Manager position with my company, and I am nervous as hell! I know I shouldn't be - after all, I've been there a year and a half now. My bosses love me. It's just that, while I seem to interview pretty darned well, I am a bundle of nerves underneath it all! So, I'm hoping I don't toss and turn all night - that I get a good night's sleep. I need it. I'm also going over our sales figures to determine where we've done well, and where we could use improvement. Wish me luck!

I'm BAAAAAACK! (from Los Angeles!)

Hey Everyone! I'm back home in Baltimore! Hope everyone had a great week - I apologize for not posting this week - this trip was brutal! We were busy all day long, and when I got back to my hotel room, I was exhausted! I'd watch about an hour of TV, and then just crash. I promise I'll be better in the future! So, what's new? What did I miss?

Heading to L.A. again...

In the morning, I'll be flying to Los Angeles again! CAN...NOT.... WAIT! I love it there - seriously! - and 2 of my really good friends live there as well - so I am looking forward to spending this weekend with them at their place in Silverlake. Monday, I'll head to LAX to pick up my employee, Donna. She's freaking hysterical and so much fun to work with - but it's the conversations we get to have after work - while at dinner - that make our times together special. We're training a new gal from Hawaii - who's flying in from Honolulu - so we won't be able to talk as freely as we could normally. But it will still be a blast - and the weather is predicted to be in the upper 70's during the day, and high 50's/low 60's during the evenings. Sounds like Utopia to me. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Crazy little thing called....?
Hey Everyone! So, I've been fortunate enough to be spending time lately with a pretty amazing man. I don't want to talk too much about it, but suffice it to say that I am liking the ways things are going, and I am cautiously optimistic. He's very low-key, and very sweet - and that's exactly what I've been craving in my life. Sweet is sweet.
In other news, it's raining NON-STOP for the past 3 days, and I have to say that I am fucking fed up with it! It's supposed to be nice in Baltimore for the weekend, but I am flying to Los Angeles on saturday to see my friends Ken and Ed, before spending the week there working in several of our stores. I am looking forward to seeing my friends AND the amazing weather that L.A. always seems to have. Tomorrow night, the aforementioned mystery man and I are going to DC to see a band called "Ghostland Observatory". He's played me their stuff, and they're very good. Enjoy your week, and stay dry!

Here it goes again...
So tonight, a friend said to me "I seriously think I'm "DONE" with Baltimore." And of course I had a Deja vu moment. If you remember, a few weeks ago, I also said I was wondering if it was time to move on. So I'm wondering - was this another sign that it's time to move on? I LOVE my friends here, and I love my apartment. My job is great as well - so that leaves me wondering what exactly is holding me here? I have some serious soul-searching to do. I'll be local this week, and then from the 10th to the 16th, I'll be in Los Angeles. I fucking LOVE it there! It will be so great to see my friend Ken and his partner Ed - and to work with my employee and friend Donna. She and I often have "heart to heart" talks - and this feels like a doozy coming on!
