Back to work, and feeling GOOOOOOOD!

So, I don't feel back to 100% yet, but I definitely feel MUCH better than I did monday and tuesday. And of course, the first day that you feel better always brightens your mood and your spirit. I just want to grab someone and yell "I feel GREAT!". I'm sure they'll be freaked and won't know what the hell I mean, but at least I'll get my message out there.

Sick day = Sucky day

Hope everyone survived the Hurricane relatively unscathed! Thankfully my building didn't lose power during the storm, so I settled in for a movie marathon and had my snacks ready. But at about 8pm I go REALLY cold - to the point that I was shivering. I put on sweats, and got under a blanket and finally my teeth stopped chattering. I fell asleep, and then woke up about 2 hours later soaking wet. Apparently I had a fever and was sweating out the toxins. I changed, ate some ice cream to cool myself down, and finally felt like I had a normal temperature around midnight. I woke up at 7am to get ready for work, but I must have had another fever during the night because I was soaking wet again. Ugh. I took some tylenol, and decided I would decide at 8am if I felt well enough to head to work - obviously I took a sick day, and spend the entire day going back and forth between being cold and sweating. I am hoping, wishing, and praying that I'll feel better tomorrow so that I can head back to work. Guess I should have listened to my Mom when she kept pestering me to get a flu shot!!

Hurricane Sandy: Here to Annoy....

So, apparently Hurricane Sandy has everyone so worried that Maryland and New Jersey have both declared a State of Emergency! Buses and Metros are shut down. And they are basically telling us to stay at home. (with 50+ MPH winds, who the fuck wants to drive anyway??) I have to wake up at my normal time tomorrow, and call a special Emergency phone number they've set up for us. I am praying that we don't have to go into the office. I mean, who the hell wants to work when there's a fucking hurricane going on outside?? Everyone, wish me luck!

The Weekend is HERE!!

Hallelujah! Hope everyone has a great weekend, and hopefully any Halloween parties they attend. Also, be safe if you're in the path of the Frankenstorm!

Look Out!! Here comes "FrankenStorm"!!

So, apparently Hurricane Sandy is coming up the coast as I write this, and she should be hitting the Baltimore area either Monday or Tuesday. This means torrential downpours and winds up to 50 mph! But, another factor is that there is a front coming in from the west and it's supposed to hit here around the same time. So, that could mean the Hurricane rains, but it could also mean that the storm turns into a HUGE Nor'Easter (i.e.: SNOWSTORM from HELL!) I actually am looking forward to it - I know, I know, I'm a bit of a Dork when it comes to winter storms. But the sad part is, I am hoping for the Snowstorm! I really am! Call me crazy. But that's what I want. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Come on FrankenStorm - give me everything you've got!

American Horror Story: Asylum

Ok, so it's only 1 episode in, but this show is already AMAZING! I'm so excited that a lot of the cast from last season are in this year's shows as well. Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters....all of them so good! They've also added Joseph Fiennes who I have loved since "Shakespeare in Love". The stories are already twisted, and the fact that they slide in some nudity (ie: Evan's great ass - check the pic) makes me so glad this show is on F/X! If you haven't checked it out yet, please do! I'll be watching faithfully every wednesday night.
